Jazz in September
The warm weather seems to be holding for now so jazz, for the most part is still on our terraces.
London based jazz soul singer Nina Ferro started performing aged 15 and by 20 she was touring the world performing at festivals, concerts and making appearances on radio and television. In 2005 Nina settled in the UK to establish her mark as one of the hottest young soul-jazz vocalists on the UK jazz scene performing at Ronnies Scott’s, Café de Paris, the Barbican and Pizza Express Dean Street amongst others. Influenced by Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Elvis Presley, Cadence Magazine, New York said about her
“Ferro’s voice is a pleasure to hear… natural, sexy and effortless”.
Nina is accompanied by Ross Stanley on piano and Tim Dawes on double bass performing at at Gee’s on Sunday 11th September.
You can view all the forthcoming Jazz listings at Gee’s, the Old Parsonage and Quod.
