Fabulous pork from Rofford Farm arrives at Quod

Fabulous pork from our Oxford Sandy and Black pigs is currently arriving in our kitchens from our owner’s Oxfordshire Farm.
The Oxford Sandy & Black is a rare traditional breed of pig. It is increasing in popularity from virtual extinction twenty years ago. The breed produces meat of very high quality and flavour.

Look out for Rofford Farm pork chump with apple sauce, broad & runner beans, currently served as a special at Quod.
We continue to serve crisp belly pork with apple sauce for our Sunday roast.

Chump steaks are served with runner beans & peas; shoulders have been diced, marinated & cooked very slowly to serve alongside caramelised ‘Rofford Farm’ fennel. There is something very special about pork & fennel together – even just a handful of seeds will compliment our fantastic pork.

Other pork dishes watch out for, pork chops with little cocoa beans, slow roasted shoulder to share & of course our gusty “Pig head & potato” pie.

We hope you appreciate the flavour & texture of our locally bred & reared pork, in the meantime I’m working on smoking the bacon which should be ready in a couple of weeks.
