Gee’s, a famous Oxford landmark is where locals and visitors meet for lunch, dinner or drinks. it offers dishes that are simple in their conception with a focus on fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients. Food is best described as classic with a strong British influence. Sophisticated simplicity embraces the best and most carefully sourced produce and results in consistent excellence.

The restaurant is located in the heart of North Oxford, the famous Victorian conservation area. Situated on the Banbury road, half a mile from Summertown, the popular shopping and residential area. Gee’s is a ten minute walk from the centre of the city and only five minutes walk from the Old Parsonage hotel. Famous neighbours include the Oxford University Press, Pitt Rivers museum and the newly acclaimed Ashmolean museum.

Head chef Simon Cottrell changes the a la carte menu seasonally using combinations of great ingredients to produce simple mouthwatering dishes. Choose from a simple starter of hand dived Jersey scallops, sweetbreads with a caper dressing or a Parmesan souffle. Main courses include whole bream baked in paper with potato and fennel, saddle of rabbit wrapped in Parma ham or a light and delicious pea, ricotta and lemon zest risotto. Summer pudding, chocolate and hazelnut roulade or raspberry granita continue the seasonal focus.

Formerly a florists and greengrocers, Gee’s was restored and renovated by owner Jeremy Mogford twenty years ago. Inspired by its natural light and features the building was enhanced to create a comfortable, contemporary restaurant and bar. Built in 1898, this famous Grade II listed Victorian conservatory hosts Oxfords best loved restaurant with a stunning collection of Gary Hume paintings.
